About Willow Branch

Willow Branch has grown from a life long love of flowers, gardening, art, nature and all things beautiful. Backgrounds in fine art and horticulture enable us to visualize unique combinations of color, form and texture with consideration for each individual couple and season.

We offer Full Service Event design to Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas.

Mary Pearl came to flowers with a BFA in art & theatre and a love of gardening. She began apprenticing in the Willow Branch studio under her stopmom & founder, Cathy Coyle in 2015.

Mary Pearl adopted the business in 2025 and carries it on with her husband, Ben.

OUR ROOTS

Willow Branch Flowers was founded by Cathy Coyle and is now owned and operated by Mary Pearl Monnes.

What began as a stepmother–daughter studio grew from years of shared garden walks, studio afternoons, and speaking “florish” at family dinners. The business continues its legacy with deep respect for its roots and a steady, thoughtful hand.

Our twin studios are located in the garden at Cathy’s private residence. Nearly every design has cuttings from her rambling gardens.

We strive to create every recipe with blooms from our favorite farmers at local farms.

Working with Local Farms

We're aware of the waste our industry produces and we are always finding better ways to be good stewards. We are a low-foam studio and compost all debris.
